Dan Guard, here in El Paso, Texas...
I coach the Polar Bears, a girls'/women's inline team. We have players from
seven states, participating in national tournament events. You might
remember the Polar Bears a few years back as the first all-girls inline team
in the country, playing in the USAHIL regional and national tournament
series vs. the boys. They made the cover of American Hockey Magazine at the
time.
I also administer a local kids and adult inline program. I have been playing
ice since '61 and inline since '87, and enjoy both, although I haven't been
on ice blades for about five years or so...
I appreciate the information provided by this internet newsgroup, and had
the pleasure of meeting Andrea Hunter in Las Vegas a few years back. I
generally use the message forums on InlineHockeyCentral.com to converse
around the country.
Hope all is well with everybody.
-Daniel T. (Dan, DannyG) Guard
