See the Ontario Women's Hockey Association website, www.owha.on.ca, for
ticket and location information for exhibition games among Canada, Finland,
and Germany the week before the World Championships. I think this is the
only time Team Canada's played in Ontario this season.

Hello all! Anyone interested in going to the gold medal game at the Worlds in
Minnesota? I purchased 2 tickets in December and now will be unable to attend
:P The seats are at center ice, close to ice level. If anyone is interested,
please respond to my email address indicated above.

Thanks! :)

Hi All;

There is still an opening in the Ultimate Challenge Girls Hockey Tournament
Apr 6-8 2001, Vancouver BC. There is also an opening in the Ultimate Spring
League as well. Please call Marc at 604-945-3094. The tournament committee is
desperately trying to fill this last spot.

Subject tournament ran last week at 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alberta. Six
different
bases and wings were represented in four teams as follows: CFB Esquimalt
(Victoria, BC), 4 Wing Cold Lake (Alberta), Garrison Edmonton (Alberta) and
17 Wing Winnipeg (Manitoba). Additional players from 15 Wing Moose Jaw
(Sask) and 18 Service Battalion Thunder Bay (Ont) were present.

All this to say: excellent tournament of military women hockey players!!!

Standings after the round robin were:

1st place - CFB Esquimalt
2nd place - Garrison Edmonton
3rd place - 17 Wing Winnipeg
4th place - 4 Wing Cold Lake

The semi-final round saw Esquimalt defeat their fourth-placed opponent;
however,
in the 2 vs 3 game there was an upset: 17 Wing (us) defeated the feisty
Edmonton
(them) team 4-1.

The gold medal went to defending champions CFB Esquimalt in the end as
Winnipeg
was not able to capitalize and lost 0-2.

The all-star team that will represent the Prairie Region at the CF National
Invitational
was announced at the closing ceremonies. That team will proceed to CFB
Borden
for the national competition 21 - 27 Apr. Note that the Prairie team will
be returning
to Borden to defend their gold medal from last year.
