Hi gang,
I'm a little behind since I haven't checked my mail for a week.

I agree that different rules ruin womens sports. Hockey, ball, whatever -
we should play the same game. If we have different rules we are
highlighting the inequality that exists between genders in the athletic
world.
On the lighter puck subject, as a coach I feel that athletes should always
use the actual equipment the sport requires as that will ensure proper skill
development. Coaching research will back up that you can change the ice
surface dimension, but if you use different equipment, kids will tend to
pick up bad habits...
On a different note, my game tonite is cancelled cause the roof of the rink
caved in due to 130+ cms of snow down here in PEI....I'm ticked off solid
for that one!
Sue

Jenny Schmidgall had a baby girl in January. She is taking this semester
off from school at University of Minnesota Duluth and will make a decision

Here in El paso, Texas, we have just started on the adventure of developing
girl's/womens inline program. We now have a bunch of Squirt (90-91-92) dames
playing in "their own" team program, as well as against/with the boys on
co-ed, rec teams.

Anybody else out there who has a program for little dames on wheels? We are
looking for some sisterhood to jump start the network.

Help, anybody?

...and Thanks! from us to all pf you who work so tirelessly for our sport...

-dan
