Sorry for the late response Susannah, but I have quite a back log of email.

For learning to skate, if you are still a UW student and have a credit to
spare some semester, try taking Skating II (I think that was the name) or
PowerSkating. I took the former of these twice when I was on the UW club
team and it was very helpful. The class was small enough that you got a
good amount of individual attention, plus it meet twice a week so you got
some consistent skating in for 15 weeks. Of course, this only applies if
the classes are still offered.

As for the arches, try lacing the bottom of your skate looser that the top.
To keep the loose part loose and the tight part tight you can put an extra
cross in the laces at the point where you want to change tightness.

Subject: Shock Doctor/save $$ on Hockey Equipment

Hi All,

I found an online sports equip. store that is currently offering $20.00 off
on orders over $50.00 (plus free shipping on ANY order). The offer is good
until November 15th.

They have Shock Doctor mouthgards from $4.99-19.99. I ordered a couple for
my husband at a LOT less than I've found in stores in my area (Ok, ok- I
ordered a lot more than that- Xmas is coming )

Go to www.dsports.com, and click on the $20.00 off promo (they ask you to
enter special # 749388 when you "checkout" for the $20.00 off). If you want
the Shock Doctor specials, select "Ice Hockey equipment" from their main
menu, and then do a search for Shock Doctor, or click "show all Ice Hockey
equipment" (18+ pages O' stuff!)

Anyhow, their prices looked great to me, and a $5.00 Shock Doctor mouthgard
with free shipping/handling is awesome!

Yeah, what's up with this magazine! I sent in a check for renewal over
three months ago and it hasn't been cashed yet. The least they can do is
keep the subscribers updated as to what's going on! If they folded, it
looks like alot of people will be out of the money they paid for
subscriptions!

This magazine, in my opinion, was doomed the second Kelly Connelly quit
as editor. Kelly really had her stuff together and kept people updated
when problems came up.

Things need to be squared away once and for all on this matter. There
are too many people in limbo on this. Has anyone on the list called and
spoke to Sandy Nimmo, office manager, at all?

Andria, are they still receiving e mail through the whockey.com
address???

I spoke to Sandy about 2 weeks ago.
They are not folding, they are not broke.
When someone hears "restructuring", most, including me, relate this to meaning they are about
to close down, but from the rather lengthy conversation I had with Sandy, things sound like they
will soon be back on track.

Although I know more than what I have said here, I don't believe it is my position to say any
more than that, but let it suffice to say they are not out of business.

Maine Sr. Women's Select Team looking for teams to come to Maine and play.
We have ice about 1 hour north of Portsmouth, NH - Saturday night and Sunday
morning and afternoon ice available. We would probably be a Mass B team
equivalent. We play a mix of Midget Select Teams, Club College Teams and
Sr Women's Teams, in the past we have played the Brooklyn Blades (B); Mass
Nighthawks (B) and the Rhode Island Panthers and we typically do a
tournament in Montreal in April. We need teams to play that are willing to
travel. Please reply to email@hidden if interested. We are willing to
travel for games too!

That is so strae that there was no literature/directions with it! I know when
my husband got his, there were definitely directions with it. He still might
have them somewhere, so if no one else has the literature for you, I might be
able to find it somewhere. Otherwise, if you have the receipt, you may want
to exchange it for one that does have the directions. I do remember there
being instructions on trimming it and molding it. The directions for trimming
it were very specific so that you don't lose any benefits the mouthpiece
provide. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
