Subject: HBO film - "Dare to Compete"

I just wanted to let everyone know about a documentary airing on HBO this 
month.  It's called "Dare to Compete: The Struggle of Women in Sports", 
and it's an historical look at American women and sports.  There's not 
much in the film on hockey (except for a few brief shots of the US team 
in Nagano), but as an historical study, it's quite good.

It premiered on HBO on March 8, but I think there will be several more 
showings this month.

The Stage is Set:  Harvard to face New Hampshire for ECAC title

The matchup is set for the 1999 ECAC Women's Division I Championship game
as Harvard will face
New Hampshire Sunday at 3:00 pm at Brown's Meehan Auditorium.

Harvard defeated Dartmouth 8-1 in the first semifinal game on Saturday
while New Hampshire downed
Northeastern 5-1 in the second game.

Too bad they don't get the coverage that the men do!  Check the ECAC
website to see what they have.  My husband and daughter are there, so I'm
sure you will get a blow by blow later.

Also we carry the National Film Board Video "The Game of Her
Life" which features the Canadian Women's Hockey Team as the
prepared for the 1998 Olympics.=A0 This video comes with a set of 8 NFB
hockey cards (Manon Rheaume, Cassie Campbell, Vicky Sunohara,
Hayley Wickenheiser, France St-Louis, Angela James, Shannon
Miller, Luce Letendre).



The cards were produced in a very limited run for promotion with the
video and are not sold in stores.



KL Sports will also include a limited edition Stacy Wilson
(Canadian Olympic Team Captain) Olympic Card with every purchase.=A0 These
cards can not be purchased directly.=A0 To date this is the only Olympic
Card produced for any of the Canadian Women's Olympic Hockey Team.
