I can appreciate this, but I get the digest version of the list in order to
reduce my mail volume. I have never read one of these messages, and since
the last informal poll regarding them, there seem to be more of them. I
enjoy the list, but these particular messages do nothing for me..

I can understand posting brief game summaries, but not entire stacks of
statistics for the entire league. I completely agree with Elizabeth...

YMMV,
Dawn

They are way too long. It's great that Women's hockey has reached the point
that university teams routinely issue press releases but I really like the
idea of a link to the release so we can read it if we wish.

Subject: First season

Well, I haven't written since like September, but I told everyone this was my first rollerhockey season. Our championship game was last night, and throughout the season, we were in first place. I scored 2 goals in our 8-3 Loss in the final game. For this being my first season playing hockey ever - besides just in my driveway - i did really good. For my rookie season, i scored 14 goals!! 6 of those were in 2 games!! I registered again for next season that starts in january and i can't wait. if any of you want to play hockey but you feel like you're not good enough, play anyways, cuz i didn't think i was that good cuz i never played before, and look, i got 14 goals in my first season.

- -Danielle

PS: congrats to Amy who was on the team that beat us!

Congratulations Danielle!
It sounds like you had a really great season. My championship game was last night, too. We won 4-2 :-) It was really nice, because our team is the only one in the league with two girls (my sister and I) and she scored two goals for the win.

A link to the obituary of a 27 year old woman (Lisa Strongson) who worked
for NHL.com and also played hockey. Apparently she died on the ice last
night in New York. Did anyone on the list know her?

Forget the NHL all-stars. I wanna go to the women's game! Does anyone out
there know how to get tickets?

Thanks.
