Yes, the team is here. The Colorado Allstars, Tier 1 AAA Midget girls
team from the Colorado Front Range cities (Denver, Pueblo, Colorado
Springs) had the pleasure of eating breakfast with Team USA today
(Friday, June 12).

They look great. They are a pleasure to sit and chat with. Cammi
announced that all but about 5 girls will be returning to the team to
continue their hockey pursuits. Of course, Lisa Brown-Miller was one of
them. Hers may only be a temporary hiatus however because of the baby.
It was announced to be a boy.

The Allstars got to ask them lots of questions, mainly about schools,
received Wheaties boxes for autographs and many pictures were taken.
Angela Ruggiero was especially talkative, probably since they were close
to the same age and was looking forward to seeing some of them down the
road in school.

Coach talked about the teamwork and team building that they went through
in preparation for Nagano. Many of them are still wearing the bracelets
they wore during the Olympics. It must have been an incredible time for
them all.

We, here in Colorado, are truly blessed to live so close to the USA
Hockey headquarters and the Olympic Training Center. We now have had
the opportunity to see Team USA play LIVE twice and have a bite to eat
with them. If anyone might be interested to come and see our beautiful
state or maybe even stay to play next season, email me privately.

Hi all!
First off, I want to thank everyone who responded to my last post. I was so
overwhelmed by the amount of responses that I got..you guys are amazing! So I
wanted to let you know whats going on. I've been thinking about what a few
people said about making a new team at a school or starting my own major, and
I think that I might end up using one of those suggestions. I have found one
school, though, that I kind of like- Amherst, in MA. It has a rather young
team, so I think that I might be able to play, and its small, the average
financial aid is pretty decent, they have a really good reputation, and
although they don't have my major (communications), there are 4 other schools
that they are affiliated with that probably would. I've also been looking
into Tulane University in New Orleans. I love the city, my brother graduated
from there a year ago (which definately helps), they offer full scholarships,
and they have communications (although the school is not exactly small, I
think I could manage). Here again though is the problem of where to play. So,
I have another request. If anyone knows of any teams in New Orleans or an
area where I could travel to easily by bus or such, please let me know.
Thanks again sooo much.
