ATTENTION: ALL SUBSCRIBERS to the original Women's Hockey magazine that
launched last year.
It was sold before Christmas by the U.S. publisher to another hockey
publication in California that plans to include women's hockey news as an
INSERT in its male hockey magazine. As the managing editor of the original
WH, I felt this was an insult to the women's game which deserves its own
independent news magazine. So, I have re-launched the new Women's Hockey
Magazine from Canada with a new group of dedicated investors. It will carry
on the tradition and look of the original...jam-packed with news from the
U.S. and Canada. And best of all, the writers from the original have all
returned!

The new WH will HONOR all former subscribers. Please let us know who you are
by writing us. Include your cancelled cheque or receipt from your original
subscription (some sort of proof) and we will put you on the mail list for
all remaining issues of WH owed to you.

To all interested new subscribers, the cost is $15 Cdn (for Canadian
orders), $12.50 US (for US orders) and $20 US for foreign/overseas orders.
That's six issues a year. And the new issue is due out just before the
Olympics.

The new subscription address is: Women's Hockey Magazine, Subscription
Dept., 679 Queens Quay West, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5V 3A9.

We always looking for news tips and story ideas from your neck of the woods.
Let us know. Just email the news bureau at hipcheck@istar. ca

Does anyone have their current address? I know their offices moved a
few months ago, but I misplaced the new address.

Thanks,

I believe this may have been covered / answered in the group before, but
I'll offer it again.

I spoke with Natalie Granato (Cammi's Mom) the other night, and she gave me
all the information to order Team USA Womens Hockey Gear. You can order it
direct from:
      Clubhouse Design
      (630) 616-9357
      (630) 616-9365

There are 2 shirts available, the one that was shown during the lifetime
broadcast and a grey long sleeve item. Also, there is a hat. Natalie
thought that these items were on the USA Hockey web site - I can't confirm
or deny, but I couldn't find them.

Please call and order lots of stuff - they still need some help!

Subject: Roller Blades

I'm a newcomer to all this so this is realy great to be
able to exchange info about hockey. I play ice(just started
and actually I have torn cartilage in my right knee so I
don't know for how long, already had one surgery) but I am
interested in buying a pair of rollerblades possibly for
actually playing but right now mainly so I can practice
with a puck and actually get to know some stickhandling. As
I said this is my first year playing and I don't know about
getting ice out your way but sticktime for adults just
doesn't exist around me so I'm not too good with the puck
yet. So, if any of you girls would take a sec and just clue
me in on what blades would be good to buy I'd be forever
grateful. i realize people have their own preferences but I
really don't even know which brand is good. As for hockey
skates I really love my Bauer 4000 pair, they're comfy and
great. My next pair will probably be Bauer's also unless I
can find a more comfy boot. Thanks for replying. ASIA
