I'm injured and didn't travel with the team to Anaheim - is anyone out there
able to report scores? Especially interested in the Senior A pool (go Blue
J's!)

Thanks - June #30

Subject: Learning to love your outside edges

Hi all,

I need some advice. I'm been skating for about 2 years now and have
picked up some bad habits. One big bad habit is doing a very wide
stance or even a one footed hockey stop. I have a 'fear' of doing a
true two footed hockey stop, where the back leg slides on it's outside
edge until you 'dig' in and stop. I think if I do exercises that force
me to use my outside edge then I will become a better skater. Anyone
have any suggestions of what I could do at open skate to improve this?
Lots of T-stops? How do figure skaters learn to use their outside edges
so well?

Thanks,

Meg #4 Phantoms

If you would like to see the Wheaties box, you can look
at it from the General Mills web page. It is located at:

These are popping up all over the place in the Bay Area now. The Safeway
in San Carlos (corner of El Camino and Ralston) has them now. If you need
one (or more) please contact me and we can work out a deal. I would prefer
to trade for other women's hockey stuff (I have all of the Canadian cereal
boxes already though) but will be happy to send you one for only box and
shipping cost.

Happy shopping,

Liz

Hello.

Is anyone on the list in Anaheim and checking their e-mail? I'm stuck in in
40 degree rain in Chicago and am dying to find out how teams are doing.
Especially our Illinois teams (Team Illinois -15s and Illinois Storm - Sr
B).

Check out www.usahockey.com - the site lists the results of all the Nationals

Hope you get good news, but not at the expense of California teams!

We finally got them in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. For the longest time all we
had were the Vince Lombardi Wheaties boxes. I will be willing to ship them
to anyone for the cost of the box and postage.

Ok, for all of you asking about the standings here in Anaheim as of this afternoon when I
stopped by.

I jotted down things quickly, so forgive me if I spell things wrong or make mistakes, but this
is as best as I have for now. I will try and get finals later.
