Yes, Team USA is suppose to be playing Team Canada in Minneapolis.
The date has not been set yet, but by last accounts it was the 7th of
December. At Mariucci Arena on the U of M Campus. This word came
from USA official and U of M sources. So, I'm planning on it!!!!! Dorene

I have a ? and hope someone has an answer about that Women(s?)Sport
magazine. Does anyone out there have an address for them. I thought I
had found an address in a Sports Illustrated to subscribe - which I did
and sent a letter along. They cashed my check and I've never received a
magazine. I looked in a recent Sports Illustrated and couldn't find anything
about Women(s?)Sport magazine - which is why I'm looking for an
address. Any help out there? Dorene

I had also sent in a request for a subscription, and they sent me back a
letter saying that it would be a few months before they were up and running.
I didn't send a check in at the time, tho, so am not out any funds as yet.
I looked in the first (and only) issue for an address, but couldn't find one.
Since it was published by Time, Inc. tho, I think you could write to them
and get some response. It is an excellent magazine, and I hope it gets
started up soon. There is a definite market out there for this type of
publication.
Good luck with getting this straightened out.

As far as I know, Women Sport hasn't started a regular monthly
publication cycle yet. I think they're only going to be quarterly until
they're up and running.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Dorene -
In a January online issue of Go Girl Magazine - it says that SI will
try a 2 issue trial magazine.
I did find a website for Sports Illustrated on Women
@ http://CNNSI.com/womens/

Karen, I don't know about them playing in December because they are playing
in the Three Nations Cup in Lake Placid NY December 12-21. The only way
they would be playing in MN is if they were playing exhibition games there
before the tournament.

Women's Sports magazine's first issue doesn't come out till September or
October, I think. I remember getting something from them that said
something to that effect. So, not to worry yet. Maura.

Hey!
Sorry this took so long, but I finally have some info on goalie cups.
(You know how hard it is to get men motivated to find women's gear...)
Chris thinks that the best one would be Vaughn, and it costs about $59.
Used gear: I tried on some Eddy goalie pants, but they would be way too
big for you. There is also a Brian Assassain Pro Blocker for $100, that
is in really good shape and fits me pretty well. (Should be about your
size too - but I have pretty small hands)
So, what's the verdict on the jerseys?
I'm planning on coming in the weekend of August 23-24, but knowing me,
I'm sure I'll show up sooner. Hopefully I'll get to see ya next time
I'm in town!
Later...

No. "Resonably priced goalie equipment" is not redundant.
I think you mean oxymoron - which is a contradiction in terms.
Examples are jumbo shrimp, rap music, pretty ugly, and butt head.

CONDE NAST is also comming out with a sports magazine for women. It is
named, appropriately enough, Conde Nast Sports for Women. The first issue is
due out in November. I do not have their web address (since I received
their info via snail-mail) and I really do not feel like looking it up.
(sorry - but I am in a rather nasty mood- I should be playing hockey right
now, but instead I am at home, in front of my computer with an icepack on my
*$&%ing knee.)
I'm sure the info is somewhere on the web.
