Many of you have been requesting applications for the Connecticut Polar
Bears 1997 Girls Ice Hockey Holiday Tournament which will be held December
27 - 30, 1997. The invitations/applications are ready and will be mailed
out early next week. In the meantime, I have posted the
invitations/applications on the Polar Bear web site. The address for the
site is:

If you download the application, would you please drop me a note so I can
add you to our mailing list. We are keeping a mailing list (e-mail) this
year to keep all interested parties informed as to new developments
regarding the tournament (i.e. teams, schedules, special events, any other
news...)

We are expecting 85 teams this year and, based upon the number of requests
we have received so far, it appears that the field is going to fill fast.
We have had many teams from Canada express an interest this year and
several have already committed.

A listing of the teams that participated last year is also available on the
Polar Bear site under the 1996 tournament section.
