 Hi!
Does anyone know when Michigan state try-outs are held? I know it was
March 8-9 a few years back, but I guess I'm not up to speed on the
happenings downstate. I'm also interested in try-out dates for Little
Caesars, Metro Flyers, and other downstate womens' midget travel teams.
Come check out the Keweenaw Wings(K-Wings) homepage! Plenty of K-Wing
news and information, as well as many womens' hockey related links. We are
the first womens' travel team in our area(based out of Houghton, MI, in the
Upper Peninsula)! We are a midget team, and currently are 18-5. This
includes winning all three tournaments we've entered this season. You can
find the site at: http://www.angelfire.com/mi/perks

                                                       Thanks,

Even though I will be lucky to be at the World Championship in
March/April...I, too, think we should deluge not only ESPN, but CBS,
ABC, NBC, & FOX! Does anyone have an e-mail address for CBS, ABC,
NBC, FOX??? Let's ALL get on them...it's time they showed at least
the Championship game to all the world so they know how great these
women are! Dorene

To send an email to ESPN the email address is: email@hidden

Or you can go directly to their page that emails programming questions or
suggestions to ESPN, which is:

http://ESPN.SportsZone.com/subscriber/espn-let.html

Hope this helps and keep the email flowing!!!

There is a regional development camp held each summer, I believe this year
(as in past years) it will be at Kent State, OH. For more information,
contact Gayle Collier (Michigan's Girl's/Women's Director0 at 517-769-6752.

USA Hockey did open tryouts in Grand Rapids in 1995. To find out if they plan
on doing anything like this again call Karen Lundgren (517-547-6565). She is
the USA Hockey Female Director.

Lastly, RinkSport can be reached at 1-800-868-7679. They run traditional
hockey camps throughout the country and work hard to develop female players
and promote girl's/women's hockey.
