Subject: womens hockey on tv

I am soo excited about the game tommorow, it'll be the first time I see a
womens game. I just wanted to say that, since I haven't posted anything
lately. But I'll be parked in front of the TV tommorow no matter what, even if
I'm sick (I'm starting to get sick) Some people say womens hockey is a joke,
or say we can't play the game, or we should leave it to the men, I've heard
all of these comments in hockey chat rooms when I brought the subject up. Sure
I get mad and want to strangle them or something, but hey if they want to be
ignorant about it, let them. They say they'll never be a WNHL or something
similiar to it.  I try to explain, but it just ends up to be a huge argument.
I give up, they can think what they want, but when a WNHL starts up, I'll
definitly be thinking "I told you so".  Most of you probably have similar
thoughts, but I guess I just needed to get it out, nobody around here
understands, to them I am just a hockey freak, if I even mention hockey the go
on their "oh jennie you're obsessed" speech. I guess I just need to talk
womens hockey, because almost anywhere I go if its hockey talk, its either NHL
or arguing about something. I wish I could play, maybe in college, who knows.
I just wish I lived somewhere that was really big with hockey, and where girls
actually do like and play hockey.  Well I'll shutup and get on with my life,
but I will definitly be in front of the tv tommorow, tuned into Lifetime.

Well ... as we can plainly see from basketball's example, anyone idiotic
enough to claim there'll NEVER be a significant women's professional hockey
league is awfully short sighted.  I just wouldn't expect to see a successful
one within the next decade.

Hey!

I was channel surfing last night and caught a country music video by a
Chris Cummings (or something like that).  The video features a pickup
hockey game featuring skaters in skates and gloves only.  The star
player was a female who was thumping all the guys.........Anyone know
who she was?

Saw an article in the Vancouver Sun today that says that Canadian Hockey
has started a formal investigation/review of the circumstances surrounding
Angela James being cut from the national team.
