The Tri-Cities Female Ice Hockey Association is pleased to announce what is
(I believe) the first ever CHA Coaching Clinic hosted by a Female
Association in British Columbia!

This "Coach" Level course is a requirement for all first year head coaches
and assistant coaches of carded teams in British Columbia.

The dates/times are: August 23rd and 24th, 1997, 9AM-5PM each day including
3 hours of ice time.


The location is: The Joseph Howe Room 
                 Social Rec Centre
                 630 Poirier Street
                 Coquitlam, B.C.

In addition to the very qualified BCAHA instructors, there will be two
special guest instructors of special interest to female hockey coaches...

Special Guest Instructors:  

Shannon Miller, Head Coach Canada's Women's National Team
Kathy Berg, Head Coach Team Alberta 1997 Under 18 National Championships

Cost is break even at $55 CDN.

Boy, did you luck out! We've been hosting Coaching Clinics for a while
headed up by, you guessed it...men. Although you cannot fault them in
their method, it's a real positive step forward to see females getting
to the point where they are able to teach as well. Like I said, you
couldn't have done better than Shannon and it's wonderful to see that
with her busy schedule she can take the time for this kind of
development! (Now all we have to do is get more female Coaching role
models to participate! - Of course, that's like pulling teeth.)Way to
Go!

Yep!!! I play for Team Caifornia and we are hosting Nationals this year.

they are going to be held in Anaheim at the Disney Ice Arena....
