SJ SKATE Supporting Kids' Ability To Excel is Northern California's only
ice hockey league offering hockey to inner city kids.  Our fall season
begins Oct. 28, 1996 and we still need some equipment.  Our skater are
5-17 years old.

If you have old equip. in your garage,  if your kids have outgrown their
gear, you can make a difference with the youth in our community by
donating it!  It is also a tax write off!

We need:

Helmets
Sticks
Gloves
Skates 
Shin guards

And we do not yet have any goalie gear.  We have skated for one year now,
relying in donations from people like yourselves.  Your support is
greatly appreciated.

There are numerous "Play It Again Sports" stores in northern CA that
will not only give you great deals on used equipment, but will often
sponsor some of these kinds of programs.  It is in their marketing
"bible" that getting involved in community programs esp. for youth is an
invaluable form of marketing.  Without admitting you know this, you can
probably leverage this in your presentation to them (how great it looks
to the community when they see you sponsoring...).
