My sis is playing in a tourney in Minnesota (Minneapolis, Ithink) this
weekend any information that anyone could send (i.e., schedule, results,
etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, and some of the commonalities--narrow foot and high arch--might
result in skates designed specifically for such people. Great idea.

The problem I've been having with skates is completely due to
width. Besides that, my Bauer *Chargers* ($50!) have actually
held up amazingly well for 2 years now. I've never had
any problems with the skates creating abrasions or other
injuries.
I'm trying a new tactic this time around--the Bauer rep is
having a pair of 1000s custom-made for a size 6C. (Most skates
are D width.) I'll update on how they work out. Custom-making
skates is obviously not an inexpensive option, but if they
get bombarded with enough requests, maybe they'll add some
more width choices to their current lines.
