1998 Winter Olympics
It was confirmed that only the 5 best teams in the World (to be decided
at the World Championship in 1997 held in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada),
plus the host team from Japan, will be eligible to play at the
Olympics in 1988.
Efforts will be made to make sure that 8 teams will be allowed to
participate for the Olypic Games in 2002.
