List Mom, here. I wish I didn't have to do this, but I feel I must.
I'm going to be making a couple of changes to the charters to all mail
lists on plaidworks.

First: because it's clear it's not clear to some people: plaidworks.com
is our machine. Laurie and I own it. We pay for it. What we say goes.
Period.  It's our nickle. We'll do what we want. You'rwelcome to use
the machine only because we let you. We can terminate your use of the
machine for any reason. If we do, tough. it's our toy, we just let you
borrow it. That doesn't mean you can dictate policy. It doe't mean you
can't TALK to us, but don't think you can TELL us. We do this because we
want to. Being obnoxious is not a way to convince us to do it your way.

Anyone who makes usregret that decision screws it up for
everyone else, too. If we ever decide this is no longer fun, we'll just pull
the plug. 

We reserve the right to terminate your access for any reason whatsoever,
including no reason at all. Your access to services on these machines is a
privledge, not a right. We can remove that priviledge at any time. You
play here because we want you here. When we don't want you here any more,
you go away. 

Second: anyone who threatns us with legal action for any reason, at any time
will find themselves banned from the machine. This is our godddamnned hobby.
We don't plan on getting involved in legal issues over a hobby. If you can't
discuss issues with us reasonably, we don't want you here.

These charter items are in effect starting now. I'll be adding them to the
charters shortly. The first one, I thought, was clear from the start, but
evidently not.
