UW Women's Hockey Misses Out on 2004 Frozen Four
MADISON, Wis. * Despite posting the program's best-ever season with 25 overall wins and 18 league victories, the fifth-ranked Wisconsin women's hockey team was edged out of the selection pool for the 2004 Frozen Four.

Held next weekend in Providence, R.I., the NCAA women's hockey semifinals will see No. 1-seed Minnesota play No. 4-seed Dartmouth, while second-seeded Harvard plays third-seeded St. Lawrence on the short road to the 2004 NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Championship. For more information on the 2004 Women's Frozen Four, visit www.ncaasports.com.

Wisconsin completed the Western Collegiate Hockey Association regular-season with a 18-5-1 record to finish second in the league. Overall, the nationally-ranked Badgers capped the 2003*04 season with a 25-6-3 mark, while placing third at the WCHA Final Five conference tournament.
