my doctor said that i should stop playing right away (7 weeks) 
because my heart rate got so high when i played. so, i stopped after 
my first trimester which coincided with the break of the season, but 
skated until 7 weeks before my son was born.
we had a player on my women's travel team practiced with us through 
her second trimester, but stayed out of games against more physical 
teams.
just don't do what i did~ after i stopped playing, i took figure 
skating lessons. i thought i was going to kill myself.
