Hi all. I know we have hundreds of girls and women that play hockey
in the greater Philadelphia area. Women's hockey is THRIVING in this
part of the US. We are truly blessed to be able to host the USA
Hockey Girls and Womens National Championships April 2nd through 6th
at the Iceworks Complex in Aston, PA, and I want to see all of the
local hockey talent well represented, both on and off the ice.
The Queenston Women's Hockey team will play in the Senior B Division
as Atlantic District champions, and the Philadelphia Freeze will play
as host team. The Delco Phantoms have well coached and extremely
talented girls competing the the Girls divisions.
We still need scores of volunteers to keep score and time, to man the
penalty boxes, to sell programs and provide security, to manage locker
room keys and keep the rinks stocked with pucks and other supplies.
Games are scheduled non-stop in all 4 rinks from 8 AM until 8 PM from
Wednesday through Saturday, and we still need volunteers.
Please contact me ASAP and let me know if and when you are available
to help out during the weekdays and Saturday. We are providing a
dinner at the mandatory organizational meeting on Wednesday March 26th
at 7 PM for all volunteers; afterwards we will issue credentials and
provide instructions on your duties and responsibilities. All
volunteers receive a free tournament pass for all 5 days, plus a small
token of our appreciation for your time. And, we will ensure you are
free to watch your favorite teams play if you are not scheduled to
work (or play) that game.
Let's show the rest of the country that Mid-Atlantic Girls and Women's
Hockey players are the best! BE THERE TO CHEER YOUR FAVORITE TEAM
AND/OR WATCH THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY!
