Erin
Novice in Canada for boys hockey is born in 1994.
Many leagues have dropped the AAA, AA and A status at the novice level.
"Minor developmental" may refer to a lower level or "initiation program"
that has been introduced for younger players

With the age change for Canadian hockey..novice girls hockey is 7 and 8 yr
olds ..born 1995-1994
The number of teams in novice girls rep hockey has dropped 50% in the
Toronto area
Our girls team may have to play in tournaments up a division or look for
boys tournaments

The long-threatened server upgrade is here (I think).

Assuming everything goes right, we'll be moving to our new server
starting the morning of 9/28. Assuming all goes well, everything will
be back and running by mid-afternoon my time. Before opening night
even! (barely).

What you need to do: nothing.

For most of you, the upgrade will be invisible. We're upgrading from
YellowDog Linux to Mac OS X 10.2, and from mailman 2.0 to 2.1 beta.
There's a lot of new stuff in mailman, but for the most part, the
average user won't notice much of a change and won't have to change
anything.

I've set up a test list if people want to go poke at the new list
server. You can wander over to
 and check things
out, subscribe, whatever.

While I'm making this change, the lists will be offline, and we won't
be sending or receiving email. Nothing should bounce -- it'll just
queue up waiting for the new server to appear.

this will be the 5th server we've used since we started plaidworks in
1995. Hopefully, by moving to OS X, we'll be able to avoid having to
rip things apart and rebuild them every couple of years like I've had
to do here... but it puts us in a good position to quit standing in
place and move forward on some stuff (like decent archives, and the
return of hockeyfanz.com in a new experiment), which we just couldn't
do on the old box.

if you have questions, please drop me a note...
