I think that Hayley should play in the NWHL next season.  That league has 
the potential to be a professional league later on, and the best women's 
players should play in it to promote the game of women's hockey just like 
Cammi and Shelley are doing.

I just want to give everyone advance warning of this. I'm working on a new
system to replace the existing server that runs plaidworks.com, chuqui.com
and our mail lists here. If you want the full story, you can get it here:

    

The short summary of what's coming is:

O New hardware, and a switch from Linux to MacOS X

O I'll be upgrading the list server to Mailman 2.1beta. This gives us a lot
of improvements and new features, but being beta, may also bring some
glitches. But one purpose of this site is to be a guinea pig for these
things, and it's time to do some testing as Mailman 2.1 gets ready for
release. 

O Lots of other changes, most of which won't affect the mail lists.

I'm not sure of the timeframe yet. If I'm lucky, I'll be ready to upgrade in
about two weeks. I'm betting it'll be closer to a month. As I get close
enough to set a date, I'll let everyone know, and at that time, send out
more details about what to expect as far as changes to the list server
system. For the most part, the changes won't be too messy (posting addresses
won't change, you won't need to resubscribe, existing things won't break).

I hope the upgrade will be mostly invisble and painless. I doubt I'll
completely succeed, but we'll try.
