If you spray the flooring with Armor All it's virtually like
stickhandling on the ice. Just be careful not to walk on it. It's very
easy to slip and fall.

Sounds like you just came up with a "budget" version of a slide sheet. Nail a
couple of two by fours at each side, put on thick socks and use the surface
to practice skating strokes?
Terry Pendergast<------running out to Home Depot to try it!

Former NHL Brawler Joins Fight Over Street Hockey

PORT COQUITLAM, British Columbia (Reuters) - One of the toughest brawlers in
the history of the National Hockey League has dropped the gloves again, this
time to join a fight over street hockey.
Dave "Tiger" Williams has offered to pay for the legal costs of a suburban
Vancouver family threatened with a court injunction to stop their children from
playing hockey on the street in front of their house.
"Kids gotta' be kids," Williams, 46, told Reuters on Wednesday. "I don't give a
... if it costs me $5,000 or $50,000 I ain't going to let these kids down."
Richard and Heather Green were taken to court by the council of condominium
complex in which they live. The council complained the games played by the
Greens' 8- and 13-year-old sons with neighboring kids created unacceptable
noise.
A favorite pastime of Canadian children for generations, street hockey is
played year-round on residential roads with hockey sticks and a tennis ball,
using the most of the same rules as professional ice hockey.
The main differences are the absence of skates and the ubiquitous cry of
"Car!," which signals the players to pull the nets to the curb while a vehicle
passes.

Williams, who set the record for penalty minutes in his 14 years in the
National Hockey League as an "enforcer," notably with the Toronto Maple Leafs
and Vancouver Canucks, has been a vocal opponent of efforts by communities to
ban kids from playing street hockey.
