I didn't get your original post, so I guess I could have missed this reply
- -- has anyone pointed out you can just get the blade replaced on your
existing skates? If you really like the boot, you don't have to replace
the whole thing. Sure is nice for those of us who needed months to break
in their skates.

Badger Women¢s Hockey Releases 2000-01 Schedule

Madison, Wis. ø Four games with defending national champion Minnesota and a possible rematch with Team USA highlight the 2000-01 University of Wisconsin women¢s ice hockey schedule, released today.

The Badgers will open their season at the Kohl Center with a two-games series against Mercyhurst (Penn.) on Oct. 14-15. Wisconsin will open conference play the following weekend with a road series against 1999-00 WCHA-Champion Minnesota-Duluth. The Badgers first home conference series comes Oct. 27-28 when the UW will welcome St. Cloud State to the Dane County Coliseum for a pair.

My daughter's feet have stopped growing.  Even though she skates almost
every day, the materials they use in boots now are really hardy, and do not
break down easily.  (We have a couple of pairs of my husband's old leather
skates, and they are like cheesecloth!)  We replaced the blade holder, all
the rivets that were rusted out,  and blade for $40.  The cheapest thing in
hockey!
