I have a bit of information about the 1987 world tournament on my
women's hockey web site. See:
    http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~andria/int/wwc/1987/

If anyone has complete team rosters for this event, I'd love to add
that information to the web site. Someone gave me a program for the
tournament a few years back, but I have no idea where I put it.

Hello everyone

The hockey season has just started here in Australia - so far we have had a
draw and a loss. The season is starting and ending early due to the summer
Olympics in Sydney (Olympics, Olympics, Olympics - I'm so sick of it
already! - it's like a bizarre form of media torture), as school kids have
been given extra long holidays in the spring and ALL winter sports have
started early. My skates are causing problems - my coach is saying my
"ankles are rolling" and even did up my skates for me (extra tight) last
match. I skip a couple of holes around my ankles when I lace (or else I get
cramps) - would this cause the problem? Anyone have any ideas? I have
another pair of skates (Bauer - $4 second-hand and almost brand-new -
discarded by a disgrunted skater) that I might try and see if it keeps
happening.
One of my team mates is an Australian-rep, and recently returned from the
competition held in Hungary. She had a great time (although I don't think
they won any games!). I often wonder what she thinks when she sees us
tripping over our own feet and each other, but she seems quite patient! I am
trying to keep my web page upto date with our results but I think I have
some bad code as it can't be viewed on Netscape, only Microsoft
IE.(http://www.geocities.com/pipeline/ramp/8208/).

See you
Christine

PS Quite funny to read posts in W-I-H about not being able to watch certain
hockey matches on US/Canadian TV due to networks etc. The only women's
hockey I've seen here on TV was during the last Winter Olympics, and that
was a 15 minute summary of the whole competition! I wrote a suitably
sarcastic letter to the network involved but I had no reply. I think if
female hockey players wore short skirts, sequins and makeup on the ice there
would be more airtime (as they definitely devoted a large hunk of time to
the women figure skaters!!!!).

I just tried your web site, using Netscape, and it worked fine. :)

I could even open the photo.
Nice tongue #15!
