Subject: Bladium SF tournament

I was just wondering if anyone on this list is planning to be at the roller
hockey tournament at the Bladium in San Francisco this weekend. My daughter
and I get to go down and watch some of our local guys play. We are hoping
to see at least one of the women's games, and if we have at least some
connection with one of the players it will help us decide which game to watch
and who to cheer for! I am very excited since this is the first hockey of
any sort that I will ever have seen in person at a full size rink!!! And I
get to do this on the weekend of my 45th birthday....what a treat!

laura

ps. yes I would rather be playing in the tournament, but I am not up to the
level of play of our guys team, and if we got all the women that have ever
played even once in the last two years at our local rink we wouldn't have
enough for a full team. :)
We live in the boonies! So for now I am just happy to play audience.

GOPHERS FALL TO FIFTH IN WOMEN'S HOCKEY POLL

Following a split of a two-game series at Providence over the weekend, Minnesota
fell to fifth in the U.S. College Hockey Online poll this week. The Gophers had
been ranked fourth in both the preseason poll and last week's first regular
season poll.

Harvard remained first with New Hampshire and Brown in second and third,
respectively. Northeastern jumped ahead of Minnesota for fourth place and
Providence moved into the rankings for the first time this season in eighth.

The fifth-ranked Gophers will be at fourth-ranked Northeastern for a two-game
series, Friday and Saturday. Both games are slated for 7 p.m. EDT faceoffs.
Minnesota will return home the following weekend for single games against
third-ranked Brown, Nov. 5, at 7:05 p.m., and top-ranked Harvard, Nov. 7, at
2:05 p.m.
