Do you have people in your organization who should attend an NCCP Coach
Level clinic or an HTCP Level I Trainer's clinic? Have you been putting
off taking the clinics yourself? Would you like to take a clinic with
other people who are interested in female hockey? The Kingston Comets
Girls' Hockey Association will be putting on both of these clinics in
September, at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, with OWHA
instructors. Kingston is 2 hours from Ottawa and about 3 hours from
Toronto, on Highway 401.

The Coach Level clinic will be September 25th and 26th; the Trainer's
clinic will be Saturday September 25th. The prices have not yet been set
but will be close to break-even cost for people from outside the Comets
organization. If you are interested in registering for either clinic, send
me an e-mail (address below) to save your place and get more information.

GOPHERS ANNOUNCE 1999-2000 SCHEDULE

With the start of Western Collegiate Hockey Association-Women's League for
1999-2000, the University of Minnesota will play a 34-game schedule, including a
24-game league schedule, against all Division I competition.

The Gophers' schedule sees them at home for 18 regular-season games, including
games against all three teams from the 1999 American WomenÍs College Hockey
Alliance National Championships.

Brown, which Minnesota defeated for third place at the AWCHA Championships, will
be in town Nov. 5, while defending national champion Harvard comes to Mariucci
Arena Nov. 7. Both teams will play at Wisconsin on opposite dates the same
weekend.

Last year's national runner-up, New Hampshire, will play a two-game series
against the Gophers, Jan. 29-30, at Mariucci Arena.

Besides the 18 regular-season games at Mariucci Arena, Minnesota will also play
an exhibition game against the U.S. National Team, Jan. 7.

The 24-game WCHA-Women's League schedule features two home and two away games
with each of the league's six other members: Bemidji State; Minnesota-Duluth;
Minnesota State, Mankato; Ohio State; St. Cloud State; and Wisconsin.

In addition to the four non-conference games against Brown, Harvard and New
Hampshire, the Gophers will host Dartmouth for two games, Dec. 11-12, and be on
the road for two-games with both Providence, Oct. 23-24, and Northeastern, Oct.
29-30.

Ticket information for all Golden Gopher athletic events can be obtained by
calling (612) 624-8080 or 1-800-U-GOPHER (846-7437).
