We have a website for women's hockey, and one of the links is for "Women's
College Hockey Guide." This book was written by Thomas Keegan. His website
is www.collegehockeyguide.com. He sent me a complimentary copy. It is
extremely comprehensive. It lists every college program, including varsity,
jr. varsity, and club teams for women. It also has information on all the
applicable colleges including costs, size, hockey scholarships awarded... A
very worthwhile item is the interviews with each college's coaches. (Talk
about handy for an interview!!) Some coaches are looking for grades in
athletes, others are looking strictly for skills. Check out his site. - Lori

Catherine-
I just went through the college hockey search myself. Its a huge pain,
because many times you will find one place that tells you that a school has a
team, and somewhere else will say the opposite. No matter how much of a pain,
though, its WELL worth it. One of the best places I found was
http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~hungerf/dir.html. This is a listing of the school
by league and division, and there's contact information- contacting the
coaches is HUGELY important. Once I found the school that I was most
interested in, I called the coach and we had a great conversation on the
phone. If you can make the trip to the school to meet in person, thats even
better.
I have many of the college sites bookmarked, so if there's anything I can do
for you, let me know.

To everyone-
Thanks for all of the info. Right now I'm a junior in high school
and I'm not playing, but I wanted to start up in college. I did play
a while ago, but I quit (I'm still not sure why) and I'm really
interested in starting up again, so I'm anxious to get out of here
and get to college.
I would like to play maybe this year or next year but I'm not sure
if my parents really want me to or if I'll have enough time to. But
I really enjoy the sport and just hope that I'll be able to pick it
up in college!
 Thanks again,
Cab
