Subject: Body Contact Film
The most recent film on body contact vs. checking has been put out by the
International Ice Hockey Federation and is called, "Body Contact . . .The
Right Call." It is eight minutes long and features females demonstrating
the difference between the contact and checking. I just ordered one from
the IIHF through USA Hockey because with the explosion of hockey in
Minnesota, we want all of our officials to view this film. It is an
excellent resource and should be shown to all referees who officiate
women's/girls' hockey.
