Is anyone on the list familiar with the team chix with stix (sp?)? I know I
have read about the team somewhere but can't seem to relocate the article. I
play with a guy that once coached a team in Huntington Beach by that name,
almost 5 years ago, and he was surprised that I would have heard of them, and
we wondered if maybe it was a different team with the same name. At the time
he was coach they only played local leagues, but were about to go into
tournaments. So does anyone know about a team by this name? Any updates for
a (possible) ex-coach?

Subject: New teams in Vancouver, WA / Portland, OR Area

Hi, everyone. I would like to thank all those who responded to my earlier
post this year about finding a team in my area. As it turns out a new arena
had just been built 5 minutes from my house and is offering a women's
league. Here are the details for anyone else who may be interested:

The teams will play 16 games, have 16 practices and 1 evaluation skate. The
evaluation skate is sheduled for Sept 18th at 4:45pm. All icetime is at the
Mountain View Ice Arena which is located on Mill Plain Blvd in Vancouver, WA
(just a hop across the 205 bridge from Portland). The cost if just two
teams are formed is $399 (plus yearly $35 USA hockey membership fee). If
more teams are formed the price will drop (ie 4 teams, $339.00).

For more info you can email me at email@hidden or contact the
Mountain View Ice Arena 360-896-8700 for registration forms.

Hope to see you out there,

Tanya, #35
