Here's what YOU need to do to fix your own Y2K problem on every home computer.
It's easy!!! :-)

To All,
Thought you might be interested in the following:

CHECK IT OUT...

Double click on "My Computer".

Double click on "Control Panel".

Double click on "Regional Settings" icon.

Click on the "Date" tab at the top of the page.

Where it says, "Short Date Sample", look and see if it shows a "two
digit" year. Of course it does. That's the default setting for
Windows

95, Windows 98 and NT. This date RIGHT HERE is the date that feeds
application software and WILL NOT rollover in the year 2000. It will
roll over to 00. Click on the button across from "Short Date Style"
and select the option that shows, mm/dd/yyyy. (Be sure your selection
has four Y's showing, not two) Then click on "Apply" and then click on
"OK" at the bottom. Easy enough to fix. However, every single
installation of Windows worldwide is defaulted to fail Y2K rollover.
Now YOU know - pass it on.

Yours in Hockey,
God Bless

There are steps being taken to have women's ice hockey made a sanctioned
military sport. Interest is being tested in each region of Canada by holding
a Canadian Forces Women's Invitational Hockey Tournament in the spring of
2000.

Official recognition would mean the local team (at CFB Esquimalt, in
Victoria) could get funding to host tournaments. The Esquimalt team is
currently looking for $2,000 to pay for jerseys and are also searching for a
coach for the upcoming season.

This season opens in October and weekly games will be scheduled against
local civilian teams. The cost to play is estimated at under $50, a great
deal when contrasted to the hundreds required of civilian players. This is
as a result of heavy subsidy. Money raised goes to pay referees, and ice
time is free.

The CFB Esquimalt women's team is scheduled to participate in a tournament
(concurrent with a men's event) the weekend of August 20-22 at the Wurtele
Arena, on the base. The cost is $199 for the military, $299 for civilian
teams. There is a three game guarantee. Teams are to register with Kathy at
the Naden Gym kiosk not later than Friday, August 13. For further
information contact the Base Sports Coordinator at (250) 363-4068.

The Team Pacific Program was designed for dedicated players capable of
playing at a high level of competition, and who have aspirations of playing
US collegiate level hockey. The emphasis of the program will be on the
refinement of the fundamentals of the game, and on exposing players to team
systems commonly employed at the Division 1 US collegiate level. The
program will also guide players in securing scholarships at US colleges.

Team Pacific will be forming the Steelers, an Intermediate-aged team that
will compete in the Senior AAA division of the South Coast Amateur Female
Hockey League, currently the highest caliber female hockey league on the
West Coast.

If you are interested in trying out for the Team Pacific Steelers, and are

Women's Senior Rec travel team looking for a volunteer coach. (Ice hockey)

We prefer someone experienced in coaching, who understands that we do this

we may be able to move these to another night come Sept.

SFV/Los Angeles area. 5-6 tournaments each year. Travel & hotel expenses
paid.

Thanks!
