I think you can find the roster at the Canadian hockey site:
www.canadianhockey.ca

The padding in my (1 yr old) helmet is very loose.

1) Is this normal?

2) It obviously needs to be glued back in - what type of glue is best to use
for this? Should I bring it back to a pro-shop and ask them to use the "hot
glue" that is used for stick blades, or is do-it-yourself stuff good?

Thanks.

Jill,
It is unusual for the padding in your helmet to be loose after one year,
and I think that it should be considered a flaw. I would take it back to
the pro shop, and let them deal with the manufacterer. I don't think that
you are getting full protection from the helmet, and a quick fix with a
glue gun is not satisfactory. I seem to remember something in the
documentation in our helmets saying don't glue them yourselves. Good luck.

The roster is on the Canadian Hockey site as an attachment to the news
release announcing the team.

Compliments to those NCAA teams that post WEB sites and keep their info
uptodate!!!!With the lack of media coverage it's important that they
take the initative to get their own info out.

CIAU teams suffer greatly in comparison,it's difficult to find much
current info. It's time that they all upgrated their programs and
started treating themselves with class. Their Hockey is excellent, their
programs should be too!!!!!!

Anyone know who Guelph hired as coach?

First, I'd like to thank everyone who helped out with advice about my
basement flood earlier this summer. I wouldn't even have thought about
bacteria, which is kind of scary...

So, the good news is that I now have in my hot little hands a nice
insurance check to spend on new gear. I was wondering if anyone knows
anything about or has a pair of these new Bauer Vapor skates. Are they
worth the money?

Someone advised me to wait a year before buying a new line of skates
because they "always have bugs in them and they need a year to work out
the bugs." Is this good advice? Or is it superstition?

Thanks,

It's good advice! If you have any doubts, look at when a new line of
automobiles come out. For the first couple of years there are usually
bugs to work out.

Good luck and happy shopping!

In my roller hockey game yesterday(which we lost) I collided with another
player. I'm pretty sure we slammed heads, and I also got the wind knocked out
of me. It was a pretty hard hit. I was wearing a helmet w/ cage and a mouth
guard. And it didn't hurt that much, but I do have a slight headache right
now. I'm not sure if its from band camp (after playing the trumpet for a
couple hours I sometimes get headaches) or if its from the collision. So what
are signs of concussions? and should I be concerned?

Don't screw around with head injuries. Go to a doctor, or perhaps save your
parents some money & see the camp nurse first.

I have much experince with head injuries I have suffered 4 playing
hockey. All of mine I knew right away that something was wrong. If you
were knocked out at all you should get checked. Some other syntoms
include dizzeness, headaches, foggyness (mind is cloud), or if you are
suddently unable to concentrate, and if you suffer any memory loss. You
could have all of these of just one and still have a concussion. But you
diffentlly do not want to screw around with any head injury. If you have
any concerens you should get it checked.
