My point was not to suggest that UNH did not play a great game. There were
many wonderful individual efforts on their part, not the least of which was
Alicia's performance in the net. I am sure there are a few she would like
another chance at, but that is the life of the goalie. I had expected better
from TUSAW.

The 7 freshmen and 11 sophomores who play out were quite effective in
frustrating and shutting down the TUSAW attack. Many of the goals were power
play opportunities. If a team of underclassmen, after a few weeks of
practice in their second exibition game can accomplish this feat then they
should look for a repeat in the ECAC once they gel as a team. I too would
like to see a rematch in late March!

9-0 and a 4-1 shot differential are "effectively shutting down the attack" if
one has extremely low expectations. A score of 5-2 and a shot differential
of maybe ten shots would be "effective." What happened over the weekend in
Durham was a rout.
