actually, it is not just the boom in rink development that threatens
Canada's dominance of hockey. The US has also been putting more and more
money into hockey - at the grass roots and elite level. An obvious
example, is the amount of funds available to the US women's hockey team
versus the Cdn team (ie, salaries of coaching staff, etc). (I will add the
caveat here that I do not have insider info, this observation is based on
articles read).

I fear it is only a matter of time...

[a Canadian, currently living in the US and benefiting from the new boom
in hockey down here (even if USA Hockey wouldn't let me play with my team
in the National Championships).]

This survey has been written to help us better understand who our users
are, how well we're serving them, and what we can do to serve them
better. In addition, we are considering a number of enhancements to the
plaidworks servers over the next few months, and we want to get
feedback on what proposed features will be the most important for our
users and should be implemented first.

There are 55 questions, but it shouldn't take too long to answer.
Please answer as many questions as you feel comfortable, but don't
hesitate to ignore any question you feel is too prying. Some of the
data (such as network connection speed or which ways you access the
net) will help us figure out how best to implement these features (for
instance, if almost everyone is on 28.8 modems or faster we can use
more graphical material than if they majority of users are on 14.4
modems. If most people are able to use the world-wide-web, we don't
need to worry as much about alternative access to things like
documentation and archives, which simplifies things. But if a lot of
people don't have access to the web, we do...)

This data will only be used by plaidworks to determine how best to
enhance our services. It will not be given to any other party or
distributed publically. We will be making a summary of the results
available to users of this list, but all identifying information will
be stripped, and individual data will not be available.

PLEASE send your responses to . Do *not* post it
to the mailing lists, and do *not* just hit reply, since that will send
it to the list. (some of you will anyway: Plaidworks is not responsible
fi you send your data to the list and make it public accidentally.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL).

Please be as complete as you want to be -- and please be honest,
especially about criticisms. We can't fix problems if we aren't told
about them.

Thanks for answering this.
