Below is information on an upcoming clinic for ADULT WOMEN at Cornell
University.  Please direct your inquiries to the numbers listed below (not
to me or the list!!).


ADULT WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY CLINIC
July 27-31, 1997

For the first time, the Cornell University Sports School is offering a
summer ice hockey program for adult women.  The clinic is tailored to the
needs and schedules of adult players, coaches and hockey enthusiasts.  The
purpose of the Adult Clinic is to continue developing the hockey skills and
knowledge of mature players.  On ice instruction will train players in
their skills as well as individual and team tactics.  Off ice lectures will
address systems of play, special teams, and selected videos will be used to
illustrate coaching principles and analyze high level games.

AGES:
18+

TUITION:
$150 for evenings only
$245 for residential/overnight (includes housing, meals, parking); days are
on own

DAILY SCHEDULE - EVENINGS ONLY:
Sunday - Thursday
5:00-6:30pm - On Ice
6:45-8:15pm - Off Ice Instruction

FULL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

The invitations are out for the try-outs for the TUSAW.  The camp will be
held from August 19, through  the 26th.  There will be three teams and each
team will play eight games during the week period.  This will be followed by
a selection of 23 players who will practice for a week in Lake Placid then
head to Sweden for a week of games followed by a hop to Finland for a week of
games. I don't have any information about who was or was not invited but the
evaluations will be done by Ben Smith and representatives of U.S.A hockey
along with 5 college coaches.  More information will be available in middle
July.  Hope you all got invited.
