This video has been mentioned on this list before. I called then, and
got this same response. I assumed at the time that I just had the name
wrong. I requested a list of the videos offered by Canadian Hockey, but
never received it.

Zoe,

Sorry I have taken so long to write and thank you for the *daily quest
for excellence* information. I am working on a way to incorporate it
into our team program. Since we will be starting our first season in
May, I figure we should all be as motivated as possible!

Thanks again.
Lea

What's next for Manon Rheaume? Cut from the Team Canada roster on the
eve of the Worlds.. Is she now a longshot to make the Olympic team?
Any guesses out there....

In both the PeeWee and Midget divisions it will be the Connecticut Polar
Bears vs. Michigan for the National Championship this afternoon in
Marlboro, MA.

The Polar Bears defeated Assabet Valley in the semi's in both divisions.
I am not sure who Michigan defeated in their semi's to advance.

Hi Rachel:

My name is Roger and I am president of a girls hockey association in London
Ontario, Canada. We had 595 girls and women playing hockey in London last
year from the ages of 4 to 45. The London Devilettes Girls Hockey
Association was formed 10 years ago and started with just 13 girls. Over
the 10 years we have grown to almost 600.

I think ice hockey here in Canada is the same as it is all over the world.
There might be some small rule changes, but nothing very big. We rent ice
from the city of London and have only 1 hour for our games. We have 50
minutes for hockey and 10 to flood the ice again. This means the games are
2 periods of 10 minutes and the third is 15 minutes. That means that we
always run out of time before the game ends, but we don't waste any.

How old are you, and are there many other girls playing hockey where you
live? Do you play with girls or on a boys team? How big is your city? We
were very lucky to see the Women's World Hockey Championships last week here
in Ontario. It was very exciting. If this tournament comes anywere near
you in the future, you must go and watch it. It was amazing.

Talk to you later.

Hi,
I know I've posted something along the lines of this earlier, but I'd like
to get a few more responses.
I was wondering if anyone travels away from home to play hockey, or lives
with a host family for the season? I would really appreciate it if you
could explain your situation to me, tell me how you arrange everything, and
how you like it.

Thanks,
