I mentioned this was coming a few weeks ago, and now it's here.
Saturday, there are going to be a number of changes to the mailing
lists here on Plaidworks. This is just to give you a little advance
warning of the changes, so you know what's going on.

The team-specific IHL lists (CHICAGO-WOLVES, KC-BLADES,
PEORIA-RIVERMEN, PHX-ROADRUNNERS, and SF-SPIDERS) are being
discontinued, and their content merged in with the main IHL list. The
IHL list is continuing.

Once that is done, we will be creating a number of new lists:

o COL-AVALANCHE -- for the fans of the Colorado Avalanche

o PHX-COYOTES -- for the fans of the Phoenix Coyotes

o HOCKEY-COACHES -- for people who coach hockey at all levels

o HOCKEY-REFEREES -- ditto, but for the people in stripes at all levels

Finally, we also wish to welcome a list that current exists elsewhere
on the net that is moving to Plaidworks to join the family: Nina
Cumming's Chicago Blackhawk list will be moving here.

I expect to do the list creation Saturday, startign in the morning. I
hope to be done by noon Pacific time. It is very likely there will be
short-term outages of the list during this time, and you may well find
the web sites and other resources in a bit of flux while I'm wiring
everything in. I appreciate your patience as I make the changes -- if
you try something and it doesn't work, just wait a little while and try
again.

Hopefully, the changes will be seamless for users and they shouldn't
affect the other lists.

I will send out mail when things are up and running -- PLEASE don't try
to subscribe yet, since the lists don't exist! When things are ready,
I'll make sure everyone knows.
