Happily, I will be on vacation until January 2nd, if you need immediate
attention, please mail to Scott Green or Kamran Hafeez for any problems relating
to KBI.

Other mail will be dealt with upon my return.

Happy Holidays.
Peggy

Here's one: To obscure brand names on gear.

Huh? I hear you say.

OK, call it the product of a congestion-ridden brain, but I started to get a
bit militant tonight as I finally got around to putting my name on all my
gear (a good idea in itself). I figure, there's only one or two equipment
makers out there who make gear meant for women, or a line that includes sizes
that happen to fit women, so why should I give the other ones free
advertising? (I also don't wear clothes that say 'Hilfiger', but that's
another conversation ;) ).

If the pros can use tape to cover the brand names on their gloves, helmets
and sticks, so can we; call it an implicit endorsement contract. I suggest if
you're making do with stuff that's not quite right, see if you can cover the
label or take it off (without, of course, looking cheesy). Anything that fits
well, by the same token, leave the logo showing. One suggestion, which
actually entailed label paper and clear tape, is to cover the brand on your
helmet with your team name, like the pros do. If you can get your team logo
on a patch, sew it over the brand name on your shorts leg, or take their logo
off if it's a patch.

A little maniacal, yes, but I say it's time for some reciprocity. We pay
beaucoup bucks for this stuff -- it's only fair to expect it to fit.

Cheers

I've always maintained that there is a qualitative difference between
men's and women's hockey. Creativity is one aspect of that! Thanks,
Anne!

Happy Holidays, all!
