There is an interesting discussion taking place on the Sport Psychology
discussion group about the psychological effects of black uniforms on
hockey players and refs. If there's any interest in the postings on this
list, I will forward them to you all.

UNH defeated Harvard 7-4 today at Bright Arena. It must have less than a
lackluster performance for the UNH defense. In other games Princeton lost to
Providence 5-2.
Northeastern defeated Colby 4-3 in overtime, Cornell beat St. Lawrence 7-5
and the Brown -Yale score was not posted but you can bet it was a Brown
victory.

Cornell beat St. Lawrence 3-1 on Sat., and 7-5 on Sun.. Both games were
played at St. L..
I heard that the Brown-Yale score was 10-0! Anyone know if Laurie
Belliveau was in goal?

It doesn't matter if your team has good players, it matters if your players
have a good team.

Providence beat Yale 10-0. Laurie was in goal and had 48 saves.

This is an interesting question. My daughter plays for the Sudbury and
District Girls Hockey Association Peewee A team the "Sudbury Skeeters".
Their logo is a caricature of a moskito flying with a hockey stick, and
3 drops of blood dripping from its stinger. They have a white "home"
uniform and a black "away" uniform. The black uniform seems to be the
color preference of the girls. For some reason they seem to be more
successful in that color. Even the socks are totally black! These
girls are at the top end in height for their age group, and they
definitely appear more intimidating; especially when 'buzzing' around
the net :->

I was interviewed by an AP reporter on Saturday about our team for an
article she's writing on women's college hockey in New York. I told her
about a presentation I did last year which included a list of the schools
that have Division I men's hockey and women's club teams. She was very
interested in that and asked me to fax her the list. I'm not sure the
list is accurate now.
If you know which teams fit this category, please e-mail ASAP with the
information. Even if you just know that your team fits, please let me
know.
Thanks
