Richard Hungerford wrote to the Hockey-L list that there will be a new
women's college league in the Midwest starting this year. The new league,
called the Midwest Collegiate Women's Hockey Alliance, will include
Augsburg, Minnesota and presumably some other teams from Minnesota and
Wisconsin.

Sounds like a good step for the progression of women's hockey. Hopefully
this will prompt some of the other Midwest schools to upgrade club teams
to varsity.
