Slough Phantoms 3 - Guildford Lightning 1
This was always going to be a tough game for the Lightning as most of their
top players were off on holiday for the Xmas break. Also as the lightning
had previously beaten the Phantoms earlier in the year and so Slough would
come out fighting for this one. This was also to be a grudge match for
Slough as they had recently lost their Head Coach, Top Scorer and Great
Britain's top goalie to Guildford. Guildford iced only 7 players throughout
the game even though bringing up a few of their B Team players to make the
numbers up to the required limit. With only 2 defence they held off an
onslaught from Slough who with a full squad only managed to squeeze 3 past
netminder Gill Barton who was having her worst game of the season.
Guildfords tiring forwards did manage to get 1 goal into the Slough net
stealing Slough's much hoped for "Shutout"

Bracknell Queen Bees 0 - Guildford Lightning 1
With most of the Guildford back from holiday they took on the current
league champions on their home ground. Netminder Gill Barton back on form
after facing Slough earned yet another "Shutout" against the Queen Bees.
A long wrist shot from the high slot by Great Britain & Guildford Captain
Kim Strongman (Daughter of the GB Hall of Famer Les Strongman) gave
Guildford the one goal that was needed to win the game.

Slough Phantoms 2 - Swindon Topcats 0
A very disappointing game to watch this one as Slough should have been able
to do a lot more against Swindon who are struggling near the bottom of the
league this year
